Evansville, IN – The Vanderburgh County Health Department (VCHD) will be providing free COVID-19 vaccinations at the following sites and events during the week of August 16, 2021 (see image)
In addition to its weekly Tuesday and Thursday rotation at area retailers, the VCHD will be offering free vaccines at the following special events:
A “Pop-Up” Vaccine Clinic will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Grocery Outlet, 1200 North Fulton Street, from 10 AM – 1 PM.
Friday, August 20, 2021, the VCHD mobile unit will be at Mission of Grace from 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM, 418 East Gum Street. Free “Back the Vax … with Facts” gifts will be given to anyone that obtains a vaccine that day.
The VCHD Mobile Unit will round out the week at United Caring Shelter, 324 NW 6th Street, to mark it 30th Celebration Block Party. The family-friendly event lasts from 11 AM – 2 PM and is free to attend. Guests can enjoy complimentary cold treats, snacks and bottled water along with children’s games and activities, a selfie station and a live DJ. Lunch will be available for purchase. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to talk about the many programs United Caring Servies provides the homeless in our community.
Free concert tickets to Lupillo Rivera on Friday, September 10, 2021 are still available and can be obtained at any mobile clinic event by receiving a vaccine in person or showing proof of prior vaccination. The Lupillo Rivera concert is a “vaccinated-only,” free event to be held at the Old National Events Plaza.
